Meeting Room Policy

The Edith Lowe Conference Room is available to any community group subject to the following rules and regulations:

  1. Meetings must be scheduled in advance with the library staff. No group may schedule meetings for more than one use per month. (The library staff may make exceptions.)
  2. A representative of the organization must sign the Meeting Room Use form and pick up a key prior to the meeting. The key must be returned in the bookdrop following the meeting.
  3. No group may charge admissions to meeting or workshops. Exceptions may be made for fees to cover costs of materials, but must be indicated on the use agreement form.
  4. Chairs are to be stacked against the wall after the meeting.
  5. There is a $10.00 charge for use of the room. This amount is payable when the key picked up.
  6. Smoking is prohibited in any part of the building at all times.
  7. Attendance at meetings is limited to 75 (Safety Regulations)
  8. Use of tape, nails, or thumbtacks on walls is prohibited.
  9. Sale of goods or merchandise is prohibited except for library benefit.
  10. All reservations are subject to cancellation if the library requires use of the meeting room. In such cases, the library will notify the applicant as soon as possible.
  11. Before leaving please check:
    1. Thermostat
    2. Lights (in entrance, restrooms, kitchen, and meeting room)
    3. Bathrooms (for people!!!)
    4. Locked door
